Gisteren was het na veel gezaag van de kinderen eindelijk zo ver. We trokken met de wagen naar de Dino World Expo in Brussel. Net zoals alle 5-jarige is ons zoontje een grote fan van alles wat met dino’s te maken heeft en kan hij meer soort en eigenschappen opsommen dan ik ooit heb geleerd in de wetenschapsles. Dus deze expo niet bezoeken, was eigenlijk absoluut “not done”.

Toen we toekwamen, ging er al een eerste zucht van opluchting door ons. We waren immers zo slim geweest om ervoor te zorgen dat we op voorhand kaartjes gekocht hadden. Bezoekers die rond 12.30 uur aan het aanschuiven waren, konden een kaartje kopen om ten vroegste om 16.00 uur de expo te bezoeken. Kaartjes kopen kan je snel en makkelijk via de website!

De expo zelf was absoluut de moeite. Aangezien ze maar een beperkt aantal bezoekers per 30min toelaten, was het dus zeker niet te druk en hadden we dus voldoende

tijd om de dino’s te bewonderen. Deze zagen er levensecht uit en werden vergezeld van de juiste geluiden. We kregen aan de kassa een audiogids mee, deze was best interessant, maar jammer genoeg niet helemaal op kindermaat.

De 3D film die je op het einde kan bekijken, was jammer genoeg een anti-climax. De zaal waarin deze getoond werd en de projectie hadden niet voldoende kwaliteit in huis om te kunnen overtuigen.

De expo loopt nog tot en met 29 september.
